Great pot so far!

We bought this to replace an old Calphalon pot which crashed to our floor and bent out of shape. The old pot was wonderful, but quite heavy and you had to hand wash it. This one retains the nonstick feature (an essential when making split pea soup), yet is much lighter. The glass lid has a vent built into it, making overflows much less likely. Lastly, the whole thing can go into the dishwasher if you want, but is easy to wash by hand, too, especially since it is lighter weight than the old pot. You can maneuver it around.
We still have another T-Fal piece that we bought over 20 years ago, and it's still going strong! That's what led us to buy this one.
The one possible negative I could even think of is that it's very tall, making it a little difficult for us folks of shorter stature to ladle out the soup. It is a 12 quart pot, though, so you have to expect the volume to come from somewhere.
Overall, a great pot! And we do a lot of cooking!!! |
What a pot!

| For those of you who need a big pot for Chili, soups, and the like, this is the pot for you. Tired of sorry overflow type pots? This one is great for the job! I plan on buying another one. Works great for big family spaghetti dinners, and stews too. I highly recommend!!!!!! |
A very good product

| I am very satisfied with this product. It is every bit as good as the higher priced non-stick pots, for a more reasonable price. |
Great for soup and sauce

| I found this 12 quart stock pot after Googling "Stock Pot." I needed a new one with a flat bottom since I now have a glass top stove and my other one was not cooking well. As soon as I used this one I could see a big difference in the quality of the cooking. I cannot lift those huge Calphalon stock pots and I think this one is a great (and cheaper) alternative. |
